Using
theater as a tool,
LYTE
provides students with many valuable skills that can be used throughout their
lives. Working together with other cast members, students become team
players, are able to communicate well with each other, make excellent friends,
and build their level of confidence and self-esteem. Our program
encourages our actors to develop critical thinking, analysis, problem solving,
organization, writing and communication skills, all in a friendly and
non-threatening environment.

In 2005, Longwood Youth Theater was honored by an award from the Brookhaven Youth Bureau for our outstanding service to the youth of Brookhaven. We encourage all young people to participate in these exciting and enriching programs:
